    • Completed technical vocational training or relevant higher valued training (e.g. apprenticeship in metal technology, machine fitter,...)
      or
    • Continuous practical proof, in the form of an employer confirmation, as a screw fitting technician in the minimum scope of 2 years, not older than 6 months.

    The target group consists of screw fitters who are already working in practice and those who want to work as screw fitting technicians in the future in the sense of the basic qualification defined in the standard EN 1591-4.

    For example:

    • Industrial companies
    • CEOs and responsible engineers
    • Plant manufacturers who are responsible for the construction or commissioning of a plant
    • Manufacturers who fabricate an assembly that includes a flange connection
    • Suppliers and/or contractors who assemble, tighten or disassemble flange connections to pressure-retaining systems.
    • Personnel providers

    Certificates of competence must be issued for a limited period of time. The validity period is five years.

    In order to extend (recertify) the certificate at the end of its validity period, a new examination must be taken. Proof of a training course is not required for admission to the examination. If the examination for the certificate extension has not been passed positively, the examination candidate must complete the full training (theory and practice) again.
